I am Professor of Economics at the University of East Anglia, where I also lead the Behavioural and Experimental Development Economics Research Group (BEDERG), and am executive member of the Centre for Behavioural and Experimental Social Sciences (CBESS). I am currently Visiting Professor at the University of Oxford. I am an Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (JPAL) affiliate, Research Fellow at the Institute of Labor (IZA), Member of Evidence in Governance and Politics (EGAP), Full Member of European Development Network (EUDN), Research Associate at Centre for the Study of African Economies (CSAE), University of Oxford. Until recently I was the Economics Senior Research Fellow at the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), advising the Growth Research Team and Chief Economist. I previously advised the Research on Improving Systems of Education (RISE) at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford.
